My 9 year old son Johnathan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 16 months old. I would like to stop diabetes so no other 16 month old child, or any child or any person has to be diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Johnathan cannot remember not having diabetes and while that may sometimes seem like a blessing, to his father and sister and all of those that love him, it is incredibly sad.
