I am inspired every day by our customers and employees to stop diabetes. When we launched Nutrisystem^® D^™, our weight loss program for people with type 2 diabetes, I was amazed at the impact it had on our company and our customers.

The transformative power of weight loss for people with type 2 diabetes is astounding. We know that even modest weight loss can have a lasting positive impact for people challenged with diabetes. I hear stories everyday about how our Nutrisystem D program helps people eat smarter, make better choices and finally take control of their weight and their diabetes. In fact, one customer who lost over an extraordinary 100 pounds recently told me that while he once dreaded testing his blood sugar, he now does it for fun, because he knows how great his numbers are going to be.

Our Nutrisystem employees have also embraced the challenge to stop diabetes. This year, six Nutrisystem teams raised almost $40,000 for our local American Diabetes Association Step Out walk. They are looking forward to raising even more next year.

As a company, Nutrisystem is donating $5 to the American Diabetes Association for everyone who joins the Stop Diabetes movement during American Diabetes Month, this November.
